Pansonic Lumix GH-3 shoots extremely high definition 1080P AVCHD videos. I want to edit Panasonic 1080P AVCHD with Sony Vegas Pro 12 smoothly without video/audio issues. It seems I have to transcode AVCHD to compatible formats for Sony Vegas. I don't want to downsize or enlarge original video size. And I hope the encoded video quality can be with minimal degradation.
Here is my experience of transcoding Panasonic Lumix GH-3 AVCHD to 1920x1080p WMV for Sony Vegas Pro 12 with Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Step1: Import or drag & drop AVCHD recordings

Profile list make you easily view the profile of source AVCHD progressive and target file, as well as your free disc space. If you batch convert several AVCHD contents, you can click yellow triangle icons to view different task.
"Reset" icon will return to default value for you.
Step 4: Transcode AVCHD footage to easier editing format
Click "Conversion" icon to transcode Lumix GH-3 AVCHD to 1920x1080p WMV for Sony Vegas Pro 12.
With just a click on "Open output folder", you can locate the export WMV easily. Besides, you can leave while keeping the Video Converter for Mac run conversion via a click on "shut down computer after conversion" to do auto power-off.
