OPEN PRACTICE
Aces Express 14U Sugarland will host an open practice this Thursday, August 28th from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM lead by our head coach Michelle Downing! We are looking to complete our roster with a few more girls that have a great ATTITUDE and EFFORT mentality.
The Aces Express Organization- Our GOLD team has qualified for an elite national event 5 out of the last 5 years, including a 5th place finish at the 2013 ASA Gold Nationals as well as a 9th place finish at the 2014 Fireworks. They are nationally ranked in the top 25 teams in the country. 16U qualified for 16U Gold, won the Fireworks Power Pool and played in the CBS TV game in 2014. They placed 2nd in the Gold bracket at Triple Crown Nationals and finished 5th at the 16 Gold ASA Nationals. 14U Futures swept and won the Texas Challenge Series, placed 5th in the 16U Colorado Sparkler, and are the Triple Crown National Champions. They had an impressive 4th place finish out of 121 teams at 14U ASA Nationals in San Diego.
Aces Express 14U Sugarland Team- We will take advantage of participating in program-wide physical and mental training clinics attended by college coaches for recruiting purposes. We want to promote girls softball and SLGSA within the city of Sugar Land and our surrounding areas. Our paid head coach, Michelle Downing, is from thisarea, played college softball at Blinn and UTSA and knows the AE way. Allplayers and coaches in the program will receive guidance and direction from thetop coaches in order to learn how to play the game at the highest level, notjust wear the jersey. This allows players to move up in the programseamlessly and also allows our top coaches to step on a field with a youngerteam and be able to assist.
