The Texas Firecrackers Organization
The mission of the Texas Firecracker organization is to develop capable, confident young women and provide them with opportunities to attend college as elite athletes and responsible young adults. We do so by helping them develop the softball skills necessary to earn athletic scholarships, and by providing them with academic tutoring and preparation that will help them succeed as true scholar-athletes in college—and beyond.
The Strategy
The Texas Firecrackers provide nationally recognized coaches, a safe and secure environment, and state of the art training facilities to prepare players to compete in college at the highest levels by playing in elite exposure and championship tournaments across the country. We believe that under the right guidance, competitive fastpitch softball provides young women with opportunities to learn how to prepare to succeed, learn from—and respond to—failure, make good choices in pressure situations, and learn to be responsible to themselves and others. In addition, the Texas Firecrackers organization helps girls to succeed in high school—and better prepare for college—by providing individualized, one-on-one academic tutoring sessions in math, science, language arts, and ACT/SAT prep courses to all players.
Academic Support
The Texas Firecracker organization also monitors grades and academic progress, supervising academic tutoring and test preparation programs, maintaining UIL/NCAA compliance, and assisting players with additional need and merit based grants/scholarships that will complement their athletic scholarships.
Recruiting
The Texas Firecrackers organization has an extensive network of strong relationships with college coaches at every level.
